Fajita Seasoning
This homemade fajita seasoning is a quick blend of pantry spices that adds bold, smoky flavor to chicken, beef, shrimp, or vegetables without the additives in store-bought packets.
- 6 tsp. Chili Powder
- 1 tsp. Cumin
- 3 tsp. Garlic Salt
- 3 tsp. Onion Powder
- ¼ tsp. Cayenne Pepper
- 6 tsp. Cornstarch
- 3 tsp. Smoked Paprika
- 4 ½ tsp. Sugar
- ¾ tsp. Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
For Fajitas
Add 3 tbsp. Fajita seasoning to ⅓ C. warm water, stir till combined well.
In a resealable bag or container with a lid, place the fajita mixture and marinate for 30 minutes or more.
In a frying pan, heat 1 tbsp. olive oil and then add 1lb. of steak, shrimp or chicken and cook until done.
- You can also add or decrease the spices according to your taste buds.
- This recipe is equivalent to 3 packets of store-bought.
