Because apparently I looked at a perfectly respectable pumpkin cupcake and thought, "Needs more pumpkin." 😂

And I regret nothing.

These Pumpkin Spice Twice Cupcakes are soft, moist, warmly spiced, and topped with the dreamiest homemade pumpkin spice buttercream made with real pumpkin puree.

Basically, fall showed up wearing frosting. 🍂

It’s Tuesday evening, and guess what that means?

It’s Tuesday evening, and guess what that means?

🌿 SHAKE YOUR VANILLA BEANS! 🌿

Yep. Go find those bottles hiding in the pantry and give them a good shake. They’ve had all week to lounge around in their little boozy bath. Time to put them back to work. 😂

Every shake helps move those gorgeous vanilla flavors around and gives us another excuse to peek at our homemade extract and whisper, “Are you ready yet?”

Spoiler: probably not. Vanilla operates on its own schedule and apparently does not care about our impatience.

So grab those bottles.

Give ’em a shake.
Admire those beautiful beans.
Check the color.
Then put them back in their dark little corner to keep doing their thing.

They can ALL make homemade vanilla extract, but what you pour over those beans can completely change the flavor you eventually pour into your cookies, cakes, frostings, and everything else coming out of your kitchen.
